Fluid droplet · Subscription migration

Legacy Subscriptions

A droplet that shows customers every auto-order they have, whether it lives in Fluid or in your legacy commerce system, and lets them move a legacy auto-order into Fluid Subscribe & Save with one click. No checkout, no re-entering a card.

Why it exists

Moving platforms shouldn't cost you subscribers

When a brand moves to Fluid, its recurring customers are the most valuable and the most fragile part of the switch. Asking them to cancel and re-subscribe loses people. This droplet lets them move on their own, from a page they already trust.

See

One view of every auto-order

Legacy and Fluid subscriptions appear side by side, with tabs to filter by system.

Check

Readiness before the move

The droplet confirms the profile has a shipping address and payment method before anything changes.

Move

One click, no checkout

The subscription moves to Fluid Subscribe & Save using the customer's saved address and payment method.

Try it

Interactive prototype

Click through the droplet as a customer would. Use the toggles to change what is on the customer's profile and see how the move flow responds.

Auto-Orders

Prototype with sample data for illustration. The shipped droplet renders inside the customer's account and reads live auto-orders from both systems.

Walkthrough

What the customer sees, step by step

Screenshots from the live droplet. Customer details have been replaced with placeholder data.

Step 1

The auto-order card

Each legacy auto-order renders as a card with everything the customer needs to recognize it.

  • Auto-order number, source system badge and frequency
  • Next run date, start date and order total
  • Ship-to name and address
  • Expandable item list with product name, SKU, quantity and price
  • A single primary action: Move my Profile

Tabs across the top filter to All, Fluid or the legacy system, so customers mid-migration see both in one place.

Step 2

Context on the card

The i icon in the corner explains why the customer is seeing this option, in plain language, without leaving the page.

"You can move this profile to our new Subscribe & Save system for a better experience with more features and flexibility."

Step 3

Reassurance at the button

The ? next to the action answers the question every customer has before they click: what happens to my card and address?

"We'll reuse your saved address and payment method, no checkout needed."

Help tooltip next to the Move my Profile button explaining saved address and payment are reused

Step 4

Readiness check

Clicking Move my Profile opens the move dialog. Before anything changes, the droplet checks the customer's Fluid profile for at least one shipping address and one payment method.

  • Whatever is missing is named in a red pill, here Missing: Payment method
  • Open profile takes the customer straight to where they add it
  • I've added it — reload re-runs the check without losing their place

This keeps the move from creating a Fluid subscription that would fail on its first run.

Step 5

Moved to Fluid, cancelled in Exigo

Once the subscription is created in Fluid Subscribe & Save, the original auto-order is automatically cancelled in Exigo.

  • The customer is never billed twice for the same order
  • No one on your team has to cancel the old auto-order by hand
  • The card moves from the Exigo tab to the Fluid tab

Setup requirement

Every Exigo SKU needs a matching SKU in Fluid

When a subscription moves, each line item is recreated in Fluid. So every product that could be on an active Exigo auto-order must already exist as a SKU in Fluid before customers start moving.

Exigo item→Fluid SKU
PASBER-BG-USPassion Berry - 90 CT · current→Matched
DGRN-30-USDaily Greens - 30 Servings · current→Matched
LGCY-SLP-60Discontinued, still on 40 auto-orders→Needs a Fluid SKU

Example data for illustration.

  • Include legacy products. Discontinued or retired items still sitting on someone's auto-order count, not only what is in the catalog today.
  • Match on SKU. Create each one in Fluid with the same SKU used in Exigo.
  • Start from active auto-orders. Pull every distinct SKU across all active Exigo auto-orders and check each one against the Fluid catalog before launch.
